(빌립보서 3:17-21) 만물이 복종하는 사람

바울사도는 예수님을 ‘만물을 복종케 하신다.’고 말씀하고 있습니다. 그리고 우리도 예수님과 같이 되게 하신다고 하셨습니다. 그렇다면 우리도 만물이 우리에게 복종하는 사람이 되어야 비로소 예수님을 믿는 사람이라 할 수 있다는 것입니다. 그런데 문제는 연필 한 자루도 아니고, 모든 만물이 나에게 복종한다는 것이 과연 가능한 일이라고 생각이나 해 보겠습니까? 아마 그건 만화 같은 이야기나 허황된 이야기라고 여길 것입니다. 그러나 바울사도는 분명히 예수님께서 우리를 그렇게 변케 하실 것이라고 말씀하고 있습니다.

사람들은 어떤 것을 다스리고 복종하게 하는 일을 자기 맘대로 하는 것이라고 생각합니다. 칼로 목을 박고, 망치로 양파를 쓸고 싶은 마음이 칼과 망치가 자기 정체성을 넘어서 나의 뜻대로 되어야 그것이 다스림이고 그렇게 될 때 자신에게 복종하는 것이라고 생각합니다. 화난다고 휴대폰을 맘대로 던지는 것이 휴대폰을 맘대로 하는 것이 아니라 휴대폰의 기능대로 잘 사용하는 것이 휴대폰을 맘대로 다룬다고 하는 것입니다.

무엇을 복종하게 한다는 것은 그것이 가진 정체성 즉 목적대로 내가 사용하여 나를 이롭게 하는 것을 말하는 것입니다. 그 정체성은 무시하고 내 맘대로 하는 것을 말하는 것이 아닙니다. 따라서 만물을 복종하게 한다는 것은 만물을 내 맘대로 하는 것이 아니라, 모든 만물의 존재목적을 아는 사람이 된다는 것을 말씀하시는 것입니다. 그것이 아담을 만드시고 다스리라고 하신 다스림인 것입니다.

생각해보면 예수님은 만물은 고사하고 자신을 십자가에 못 박는 상황과 그 상황 속의 사람들도 어떻게 못해서 십자가에 달려 돌아가셨고, 바울사도도 하나님의 일을 하는데 옥에 갇히는 억울함을 피하지 못했습니다. 하나님이 만든 세상에서 하나님의 말씀을 전하는데 피조물들이 순종치 않고 대항하는 것을 다스리지 못했다는 것입니다.

그러나 예수님을 십자가에 못 박은 이들이나, 바울사도가 죽을 때 까지 먹지 않겠다고 한 자들은 자기가 원하는 대로 될 때 하나님의 뜻이 이루어진다고 믿는 이들이고, 예수님과 바울사도는 사람의 존재 목적이 자기가 원하는 대로 되는 인생을 꿈꾸는 자들이 가진 자신의 선악과에서 나오는 의로움 앞에 죄인이 될 때 하나님의 아들이라는 정체성이 나타나게 되어 있는 사람이라는 존재 목적대로 사는 사람입니다.

하나님께서 자신을 지은 목적을 아는 사람은 당연히 세상의 모든 것의 존재 목적을 압니다. 하나님이 만드신 것 중에 가장 최고가 사람인데, 그 사람이 하나님의 영광과 성품을 나타내어 하나님의 아들로 나타나는 것이 존재의 목적이라면 다른 것은 볼 것도 없는 것입니다. 즉 세상의 모든 것이 다 하나님의 아들이 나오는 것을 위하여 존재한다는 것입니다. 그것을 아는 것이 만물을 복종케 하는 것입니다. 세상의 모든 것이 다 하나님의 성품을 표현하기 위하여 존재한다는 것임을 아는 것이 그것입니다.

피조물의 고대하는 바는 하나님의 아들들의 나타나는 것이니(롬 8:19)

세상의 모든 것이 다 하나님이 만드신 피조물이라고 믿는다면, 당연히 세상의 모든 것은 다 하나님의 뜻을 나타내기 위하여 있는 것이고, 또한 전지전능하신 하나님께서 세상을 다스린다는 것을 믿는다면 그 또한 세상의 모든 것이 다 하나님의 선하심 아래에서 하나님의 뜻을 이루기 위하여 다스림을 받고 있다는 것을 아는 것입니다. 

그렇다면 적어도 그것을 안다면 하나님 앞에 세상이 잘못되었으니 바로 잡아달라고 기도할 리는 없는 것입니다. 실수도 않으시는 창조주가 만드신 것을 다스리는데 어디에 오류가 있겠습니까? 이것 하나도 눈에 보이지 않는데 어떻게 하나님을 믿을 수 있겠습니까? 바울사도가 말씀하는 것과 같이 만물을 복종케 하시는 예수님과 같이 된다면 이 세상은 온전하기 그지없는 것으로 보여야 합니다. 그게 보이지 않는데 구원을 받았다고 하는 것은 어불성설입니다. 

그러니 하나님께 세상이 잘못되었으니 바로잡아 달라고 기도하고 있다면 구원은 자기 것이 아닙니다. 세상이 잘못된 것이 아니라 세상을 보는 자기 안목이 잘못된 것입니다. 세상이 잘못되어 보인다면 하나님이 잘못이든 자기가 잘못이든 둘 중의 하나입니다. 만물이 복종한다는 것은 모든 만물이 하나님의 뜻을 나타내기 위하여 존재하는 목적을 안다는 것입니다. 

그것을 안다는 것은 그 목적이 보인다는 것입니다. 즉 하나님이 세상을 향하여 가지신 뜻이 보인다는 것입니다. 그리고 그것에 순종하고 있다는 것입니다. 그것은 본성에 관한 것, 생명에 관한 것입니다. 생명의 본성이 있어 그렇게 보이고 순종하는 것입니다. 그것이 하나님의 아들입니다. 구원이 바로 하나님의 아들이 되는 것이 아닙니까?

그러므로 모든 만물이 복종하는 사람은 하나님께서 세상을 그리고 자신을 만든 목적이 눈에 보이는 사람입니다. 예수님께서 우리를 그렇게 변화시킨다는 것은 그런 사람이 되게 하신다는 것입니다. 눈에 보이는 안목은 속에 있는 의에서 결정됩니다. 같은 것을 봐도 다르게 보입니다. 자기 안에 존재의 목적이 있는 사람은 모든 만물이 존재하는 목적이 보입니다. 그것이 보이면 그 목적대로 다룹니다. 그것이 바로 만물이 복종하는 사람입니다. 그 사람이 하나님의 아들이고 구원을 받은 사람입니다.

(Philippians 3: 17-21) Those who obey all things

The apostle Paul tells us that He is making all things obedient. And he said that we also become like Jesus. Then we can only be a person who believes in Jesus until all things are obedient to us. But the problem is not a pencil, do you think it's possible that everything is subject to me? Maybe it's a comic story or a fictional story. But the apostle Paul clearly says that Jesus will change us.

I think people are doing what they want to do to control and obey something. I want to put on my neck with a knife, and I want to use an onion with a hammer. I think that a sword and a hammer must overcome their identity and be my will. If you are angry, throwing your cell phone at will is not about customizing your cell phone, but using it as well as your phone's function means you can handle your cell phone as you please.

To submit something is to say that it is my identity, that I use it to benefit myself. I do not mean to ignore that identity and do what I want. Thus, to submit all things is not to do everything I want, but to be a person who knows the purpose of existence of all things. It is a reign that God has made and ruled.

When we think about it, Jesus was crucified because of how he could not even crucify himself with anything, nor how the people in that situation died, and the apostle Paul could not escape the misfortune of being imprisoned for doing God's work. In the world created by God, the Word of God was preached, and the creatures did not rule over disobedience and opposition.

But those who crucified Jesus or those who said that they would not eat until the apostle died are those who believe that the will of God will come true when they want, and Jesus and Paul I am a person who lives according to the purpose of being a person who appears to be a son of God when he becomes a sinner in the righteousness that comes from his own good and evil.

Anyone who knows the purpose of which God created himself knows the purpose of existence of all things in the world. If the person who is the greatest of God's creatures, who manifests the glory and character of God and appears as the Son of God is the object of being, there is nothing else to see. That is, all things in the world exist for the coming of the Son of God. To know it is to submit everything. It is to know that everything in the world exists to express God's character.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. (Romans 8:19)

If all things in the world are believed to be creations made by God, of course, all things in the world are meant to express God's will, and if we believe that the omnipotent God rules the world, We know that under goodness we are being governed to accomplish the will of God.

If so, at least if we knew it, the world was wrong before God. Where is the error of ruling over what the Creator has made without error? How can you believe in God if you can not see any of these things? If the apostle Paul is like Jesus who obeys all things, then this world must be seen as perfect. It is not easy to say that you are saved but you are saved.

So if you are praying to God that the world is wrong because God is right, salvation is not yours. The world is not wrong, but the eyes of the world are wrong. If the world seems wrong, God is either wrong or wrong. The submission of all things means that all things know the purpose that exists to express God's will.

Knowing it means that you see its purpose. That is, God seems to have the will to the world. And that is to obey it. It is about nature, about life. There is the nature of life, so it is to look and obey. That is the Son of God. Is not salvation the Son of God?

Therefore, the one who obeys all things is the one who sees God's purpose and the purpose of making himself. What makes Jesus so change us is that he is such a person. The eye that is visible is determined from the inside of the eye. It looks different from the same thing. A person with a purpose of existence in himself sees the purpose of existence of all things. If it is visible, it deals with its purpose. That's what all things obey. He is the Son of God and the saved man.
